2. Operating Principles
Application
The application of the minimum operational standards related to Unit Membership is set out in the following guidelines;
Age: Minimum age of 16.
Language: Proficiency in English, the primary language of communication.
Microphone: Possession of a working microphone for effective communication during operations.
Arma 3 and Mods: Own a legitimate copy of Arma 3 and ability to install and update required mods from the Steam Workshop.
Arma 3 DLC: Must own a legitimate copy of the Arma 3 APEX DLC.
Commitment: All members are expected to attend 60% of events in a Deployment Cycle (8 week period).
3. Applicability of Minimum Operational Standards to Individuals
Retention Subject to Employment Limitations
If the recommendation of a members is to be released from the 1RB because the member is in breach of the minimum operational standards, the 1RB member may be retained subject to employment limitations only on a temporary, transitional basis if there is:
- a critical shortage in the 1RB member's military occupation; or
- a requirement for a specific skill set.
A 1RB member who is not military-occupation qualified (AIT and RASP) and is in breach of the minimum operational standards is not to be retained, and subject to immediate dismissal.
4. Compliance and Consequences
Compliance
1RB members must comply with this CAODO. Should clarification of the policies or instructions set out in this CAODO be required, 1RB members may seek direction through their chain of command. Military supervisors have the primary responsibility for and means of ensuring the compliance of 1RB members with this CAODO.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
1RB members are accountable to their military supervisors for any failure to comply with the direction set out in this CAODO. Non-compliance with this CAODO may have consequences for both the Unit and for 1RB members as individuals. Suspected non-compliance may be investigated. Military supervisors must take or direct appropriate corrective measures if non-compliance with this CAODO is detected.
