Appendix A: Special Circumstance Enrollment
At times, the 1st Ranger Battalion (1RB) recognizes that certain potential applicants may possess unique qualifications, prior experience, or special circumstances that warrant consideration for a Special Circumstance Enrollment. - Initial Request:
- The applicant or a recommending officer initiates the Special Circumstance Enrollment request, detailing the specific circumstances and the desired adjustments to rank, staff position, billet, or recovery of qualifications.
- This request is to be presented at a designated Staff Meeting or in text via approved channels such as #staff-genchat in Discord.
- Chain of Command Review:
- The request is reviewed and approved step by step through the chain of command. Each level of command evaluates the merits of the request, ensuring that it aligns with the unit's needs and standards.
- Final Approval by Commanding Officer:
- The final decision rests with the Commanding Officer of the 1RB. The Commanding Officer will consider all aspects of the request, including input from the chain of command, before granting or denying the Special Circumstance Enrollment.
